Saxe & Saxe Kitchen

Set in the heart of Melbourne’s legal district, seasonal European restaurant Saxe needed to both ooze sophistication as well as cater to the relaxed, cool Melbourne crowd.

Our design delivered both for Saxe Group, over the two-level venue.

The original, polished dining room upstairs features dark woods, velvet seating, custom lighting and panelled walls that give a sense of formality – perfectly complementing the chef-hatted cuisine on order.

And downstairs, there’s little sister Saxe Kitchen. A loosened-tie, more casual style eatery that boasts dim, moody lighting, an energetic open kitchen, timber communal tables and a few bar stools — creating an open and relaxed space for family-style meals.
